In 2006, Peter Ungureanu founded Omnisource Technologies on the principle that great teams can change the world.
Based on 10 years of experience in the financial and IT services industries, Peter saw firsthand how talented software development teams could rapidly create operational efficiencies, reduce costs and accelerate time to market. Using the concept of ?Echip?,? Romanian for team, Peter established Omnisource?s innovative software development center to recruit, build and deploy superior teams for growing U.S. and European companies. Centered on a culture of trust, transparency and flexibility, Omnisource?s software development teams have a natural eagerness to solve problems and become seamless members of the companies they support. Under Peter?s leadership, Omnisource now has two development offices in Romania and a strategic business development office in New York that help companies reach their long-term IT objectives.
Prior to building Omnisource, Peter helped develop and launch the North American sales and marketing strategy for Romanian outsourcing firm TechTeam Akela [now Stefanini Romania], while managing client engagements and identifying processes to streamline Akela?s worldwide service delivery. Peter transitioned into the IT industry after a successful career in the financial services sector at companies including PWC, Bear Sterns & Co. and First New York Securities.
An entrepreneur at heart, Peter obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Binghamton, School of Management (SOM) in Business Management and Finance while running a successful business. Peter is an active board member of Streamline Material Resourcing and Chinese Medical Technologies. He is also a member of the Entrepreneurs? Organization (NY Chapter), and helped launch the New York Entrepreneurial Experience. Peter enjoys an active sporting life as an avid tennis player and skier.
